There is a reappraisal and a re-appreciation of Music Legend Linda Ronstadt and the voluminous body of work she co-created and co-produced over 50 years: recordings, collaborations, and live concerts, from gigs in smaller clubs like the Troubadour, to sold out shows at rock star stadiums like The Fabulous Forum. The acknowledgements gained steam over the last few years, reaching a pinnacle with the Jan 1, 2020 CNN release of the acclaimed documentary about her, “The Sound of My Own Voice,” and with the Kennedy Center Honors tribute later that year.

For those of you who don’t know her, Linda Ronstadt is the most “undiva-like Diva of Rock and Roll,” and the documentary footage bears this out. That’s because she didn’t fall into the diva trap, but she certainly qualified for the title, with her incomparable voice, photogenic beauty, record-smashing financial success, and romantic liaisons with a Governor and a Movie Mogul. During the dizzying days of superstardom, Linda seemed to intently try her best to stay out of the star making machinery and the gossip columns, except for taking an occasional political stance. Through it, she kept a piece of herself to herself, and more strikingly, went in musical directions that grated against the popular grain, but were a true calling for her…
